Well... I just slaughtered a guy and he left... Was it because he was a noob, or that I'm good... Please tell me... -.-

P.S. I've won in 3 minutes before with a 3 Zealot-1 Zealot backup rush... Is that a good Idea? Considering I win like 3/4 of the time I guess it is...

With PvZ, you can always cannon/zeal rush, so it isn't that hard to get wins against a fairly inexperienced player.

Heh, he just sat there waiting for his overlord with an unused drone just standing around doing nothing! And he didn't even move his 4th drone until he built the extractor. You could have rushed with your probes and won, as you had him outnumbered 2 to 1. I bet that guy has a hard time with the campaign, if he even tried it...

Also Spdstr, I noticed that you didn't go straight for the drones. If I had gotten there and there were no defenses, I would have focused all my zeals right on his workers. Just to make sure he doesn't get any more resources than he needs. =P

Well, it depends. If his pool isn't done, obviously start pounding on it. If it is, going into the mineral line is suicide since he can use the harvest glitch and kill your zealots with extreme ease. I suggest hitting on the natural expo hatch...if there is one. If not, go for the extractor and try to delay hydras so you can use sairs to pick off overlords.

killing anything would be beneficial at the time...but yeah, go for pool if its not finished, and go for hatch if pool is.

I didn't see the replay but...

If you ask me,the Toss has a bit of advantage over zerg.Strength vs speed. But isn't that a bit stupid?Using only 3/1 zealots as backup?!I wonder why he lost.Even I would not die like that.

MidnightGladius

Maybe cause the zerg didn't have a spawning pool? :)

Well, going for the pool is a good idea if it's in the process of being built...but...come on...once he got into the base and saw nothing was there. No drones = no hope for a pool.

That guy is a noob.!
If you watch how his units move, I think it's fairly obvious that he followed his Overlord around and let his drones sit around at base unnoticed.

Hrm... I've done this against other people WITH spawning pools and zerg and won 3/4 of the time like I said PvZ. lol. Seriously, a 3-1 zealot backup is a good idea to just get your opponent scared at the start of a game, just have something else in case he gets through it ;).

Normally a Zealot rush will work on Zerg, for the fact that alot of people try to build twenty hactheries, but while they are in the progress, a rush will sweep them clean.

WTF!!! 20 hatches? Yup, you're a newb if you try that.

Zerg should fast expo to the natural and leave a zergling at their choke to scout for attacks while building creeps at the nat choke. If you see the attack coming, just morph to sunkens and block the pathing with your drones.

Of course, that's how it's supposed to work...

lol...20 hatches....pretty money-map-ish if u ask me...

lol...20 hatches....pretty money-map-ish if u ask me...Yes it does, but I've seem two people do it, pretty sad, considering it is a waste of money since you won't get supplies as fast.

Trust me, if your zerg opponent is half-decent, a zealot rush won't beat them. PvZ is one of the hardest match-ups for pro protoss players.

just watched it... and to be honest, I think that was his first time ever playing Starcraft. It just felt like he was guessing and checking on every single move he made. Although I did notice him try to scout with a drone, perhaps he watched his friend playing starcraft at his house or something and thought it was a cool game. I mean... come on... this cat built an evolution chamber... secondly? I mean... what's he gonna evolve? His drone armor? I think he doesnt know you can drag your cursor over grayed out units and buildings to see the requirements for them. I think he was trying to build what he needed for sunken colonies... but ya know.. dash bern it! The lil guy just couldnt find it in time!

nah, cant you remeber your own "TOTAL newbie times???" I always made like a few drones, spawning pool and an evolution chamber at the same time. start gas for hydra, but no upgrades for carapace or anything until late game. Heh. Good times :D.

Well, I used to mass BCs against Zerg... hilarious because once I actually managed to pull it off...

Heh.I don't think any newbie would be dumb enough to play on the battle net and embarass himself.Always start off with the computer. And,human players are better than computers.

ReD_ICE

actually...most people probably wouldnt expect a bc rush, now that u've mentioned it...i mean, if i was playing against a terran, i would obviously watch for containments, drops, fast expos, and the such...never a bc rush...nor a nuke rush...

Modred

never a bc rush...nor a nuke rush...
Wow, even if you weren't expecting it I think you'd have to mess up badly to fall to a nuke rush as Zerg. Maybe if you had no defenders at your base. But a few zerglings and some hydras could take out a slew of ghosts before the nukes ever landed, especially since zerg starts with detection and should have overlords all over the place...
