Hello Edgewize, Mr. Plow, or anyone else who might be a mod around here. Got a question for you. I notice that you have an online roleplaying forum. I might take part in that myself at some point, but I also have a board entirely devoted to roleplaying that's suffering for members at the moment. Is it permissible to invite people over there, or would that be considered spam?

Our policy generally runs along the lines that advertising in threads is not allowed when:
» The link is to a site that profits the advertiser in some way
» The link is to a site attempting to leech members
» The link is being spammed

You are, however, free to advertise your site within your own signature.

Hey there Rogue_9, welcome to WarBoards! Unfortunately, posting advertisements is against the forum rules. However, feel free to advertise the link in your sig!

Oops, Schwitzer posted first. The wonders of internet forums, two people hundreds of kilometres away can hit the 'post reply' button at the same time.

Okay, that's about what I figured. *Goes off to fix the sig.*

Obviously he hitted first while you were typing/about to click reply. If two people DID hit post reply at the same time, the server would crash.

I don't think that is true. EVen if they both hit post at the same time one could have a slow connection and also the distance the information has to travel is another factor. So even if the highly improbable occurence happens then it would probably put the post in order of their names alphabetical order.

Hahaha, server crashing over two people hitting reply at the same time. That's fresh . . . .
