Hello,
I was wondering if you people could be so kind as to recommend good graduate level textbooks on the following topics, as well as provide a review of each constituent book you recommend:
Math Texts:
Algebra- looking for a thourough advanced algebra textbook(s) that covers all the usual topics, i.e. Group Theory, Ring Theory, etc...
Differential Topology
De Rham Cohomology and Characteristic Classes
Functional Analysis
Complex Analysis
Fourier Analysis
Real Analysis
Other- Any other textbooks of topics of the above caliber are also welcomed
Physics:
Quantum Field Theory
Solid State Physics
Classical Mechanics & Fields
Math Methods in Physics
Statistical Mechanics
I would prefer it that all the texts be as thorough in their explanations as possible, so that they may serve as reference books.
Thank you for your time.
