hello;
i am new to this forum so i am not sure if i am asking my question in the right place but please help me.
i cannot play starcraft becouse when i start the game my computer restarts in a while. This happens only when playing starcraft. Sometimes i can finish a game (extremely rare) and sometimes it restarts when i just started. It doesnt restart in the menu. Only when i am playing.
What should i do?

I don't know just what to do, but having a temperental pair of cpus myself (One had to be reset at least 5 times everytime i wanted War 3 to load... and the other refuses to admit it has soundhardware) I'll give you some ideas! :)

First, does anything else seem odd at all on your pc? Maybe this is just a new sign of that growing problem.

Second, maybe your video/sound drivers have some error of incompatability with starcraft. Windows has a tendency to kill itself if it can't do something. No, it can't just ask you what to do, it says "If I can't do it perfectly, I refuse!" and thusly it never works.

Third, tried reinstalling it? -wince-

Fourth, just... how does it restart? My PSX started restarting randomly durring games and I still dunno why... I took it apart for the fun of it though. I do NOT reccomend doing this with your pc, however.

Any additional information may provide me with more ideas. good luck!!!

thank you very much.
I reinstalled it copule of times :).
And my computer used to restart in all games and programs than i learned that it was becouse ram was not compatible with mainboard so i changed my ram now there is no problem :)
In sc when it restarts the colours go bad.So maybe it is really an incompatiblity with video driver.
And also it doesnt always restart, sometimes just the game is closed. But when i try again it restarts %80 or closes again.

Any luck getting it to work, or were all those smileyfaces just glad that I tried to help? -laughs- just checking.

Yeah... my father's old cpu couldn't play Diablo because it had an odd sounddriver, and Diablo would constantly be having problems. Mayhaps try to change the color settings for your cpu? It is an older game compared to some, mayhaps your colors are set too high?

Hope the ram thing fixed it... i can just imagine screaming at your pc for an hour.

"STOP RESTARTING! -cry- WHY DO YOU RESTART?!"

Once again, good luck ^.^
