The best RPG

my favorites have to be teh entire breath of fire series, ecept the last one because it wasnt very good, in fact I am pretty angry about that game, I like the actual play and mechanics but the save feature was crap.

PS. I would also say supermario rpg but I'll leav that one for GENO in case he comes along.

Huge world, very big indeed and as non linear as something very non linear indeed. More weapons than you can shake a daedric claymore at and did I mention it is really very big indeed?

My favorite RPG game right now would have to be Guild Wars.
Mostly cause the good graphics.

And also because you cant beat it in a few days.

Final Fantasy 7 was hands down the most ground breaking RPG in time. That game pwned all else. (Advent Childrens coming out soon. Hehe). But besides that I'd have to include the Breath of Fire series and perhaps parts of Fire Emblem. I hear Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is pretty good.

Not sure, theres just so many that I love.

In my opinion FFVII and FFIX are definately on the list though (probably a bunch of Japanese only RPGs own too, I'll get to some of those once my Japanese gets much better :P)

My personal favorite - the Kotor series.

What other RPG let's you slice things up with a light-saber and lets you use r0xx0r force powers?

Yep it is RPG. It has a levelling system, and feats and skills etc.

Basically, it uses DnD rules, in a SW universe. Quite good, I must say.

I would have to agree tho. The KotOR is quite good, and shouldn't be discounted as the best RPG.

Guild Wars is a fun game, and easily the best RPG I have ever played. That is, if you exclude the Pokemon series during their height of fad-ism.

Come to think of it, Paper Mario games are also pretty fun.
