Hi people, I am incredibly rusted. Haven't played SC like in a year or something and I'm totally lost with Zerg.

What are some basic Zerg build orders for Lost Temple?

I would like to know what you guys usually do when you're going muta-ling or hydras.

What are some basic build orders for:

- Zerg vs Random
- Zerg vs Terran
- Zerg vs Protoss

Help would be greatly appreciated.

uh...3 options (from my understanding and experience).
1. Spawning pool before hatchery.
2. Double hatch, 1 @ expo.
3. Double hatch, both @ base.

For option 1, it works better if the zerg wants to rush.
For option 2, sets a good economic base for the player (but may have the risk of being early rushed)
For option 3, fast teching.

Well, that was nice and helpful, jackywasp.

Zerg vs Random: play conservatively (pool before hatch, but keep them at home) and scout as soon as practical, so you aren't playing random anymore.

Zerg vs Terran: depends on your playing style, but I prefer a quick tech to lurk/ling (use ReD_ICE's #2 build for this, relying on sunkens to keep off early M&M. Contain them with lurkers until they get vessels/tanks, and use that to either expand massively or tech to ultra/ling with swarm).

Zerg vs. Toss: I prefer a conservative build to hydra push (two hatch in main).

Zerg vs Zerg: I hate this matchup... tech to mutas while building lings, and try to kill off their spire while it's building.

Well, that's just my advice. I hear they have a big list at blizzforums, though.

ADDITION: If you let Terran get 3/3 M&M, Tanks, and Sci Vessels with Irradiate with a roughly equal expansion ratio, you're doomed.

lol...HELL yeah....i love tvz....
oh and small advice (most may already know), something i call the eraser works with 2 vessels iraddiated each other, and circling zerglings or drones, kills fast and conveniently...^^

The dual vessel trick rocks for killing expos, but I prefer the good old M&M drop. Though vessels are more practical when they have lurk/sunks everywhere.

another nice little strat is u could do "stop lurker". U burrow ur lurkers in a position where u want the enemy to get sauced. Then, attack an enemy building that's in fog. Since the lurker can't reach it, it will only stay in attack command, but not letting any spikes. This means that even if ur enemy is right within the lurker's range, it wont attack. when ur enemy is clustered near ur targetted area, stop command to all ur lurks, and they will get ambushed successfully.
NOTE: if they already have vessels, then avoid this tactic, it would be like suicide.
