I know i've made like 50 of these threads,b ut this is the last one i swear.

So after working this weekend I will finally have the money to order a new computer. Being the adventurous guy I am, I decided I would build this one rather than buying it. I haven't done this before, but I have replaced RAM and looked around my computers before. I also have an experienced friend who is going to help me. However, I know you can never have enough help, so I'm poting this at the most competant PC forum I know of, here. If you have a spare moment, please look at the parts I've assembled and double check the compatibility for me. I *think* they're all OK, but I'm not positive. Also, if you have any suggestions on any of the parts, leave them here so I can look at them before I order.

Thanks!

350w is not a bad Power supply, but 400w would be better.
That said, I have a 300w in my current system, and it has never given me trouble. 400 would be more future proof for you.
Everything else in your list looks good, enjoy

Edit: P.S dont forget cooling

I would recommend getting the cheaper OEM version of that hard drive. I'd also think long and hard about getting a CRT. You can get a good LCD if you're willing to pay a little more. I have that DVD burner and it's very nice and quiet. I'm also thinking about buying that processor for my next project.

I have paranoia at OEM, and I have 0 more money for an LCD, though that is the kind of thing i ask for at christmas =)

OEM is the same part without the box.

the boxes makes me feel safe T_T

edit plus on HD retails they often include file-xfering software for moving stuff.

Barring some major disaster, the list above is what I WILL BE ORDERING. At this point I just want to know, WILL IT RUN?

You can download drivers/software for oem hard drives from manufact. websites, like western digital's lifegaurd tools.

OEM's also usually come with a longer warranty... or some such. But whatever.

You realize also that you have an XP Upgrade rather then the full version right?
